The Closing Tournament of League 2 celebrates the dawn of a new day this Saturday, July 23rd. In Chiclayo, Juan Aurich vs. Santos FC will be the opener in the fourth appointment, while Garcilaso de la Vega will feature the local hero Cuzco FC will beat Sport Chavelines to reclaim first place in the tournament standings.
Sunday 24th will conclude this new round of four cross clashes. Unión Comercio host Pirata FC in Tarapoto, while Alianza Universidad take on Los Chankas in Huánuco. The last two games will be played simultaneously: United Merchants vs. Sport Llacuabamba, in Cutervo; and Union Huaral vs. Deportivo Coopsol, in Huaral. Alfonso Ugarte from Puno will rest.
The winner of this second round of the final tournament qualifies for the playoffs along with the winner of the Apertura (Cusco FC) and the first two places in the overall table. Of these four clubs, there will be a single champion who will be promoted straight to League 1 in 2023.
