Luis Jan Piers Advíncula Castrillón was born on March 2, 1990 in the El Carmen district of Chincha. He is the son of Luis Advíncula Plesvítero, a Kenyan-born Peruvian who was also a very popular football player in the 70s and 80s, having played for the clubs Deportivo Junín, Club Deportivo Municipal, Coronel Bolognesi, Melgar and Atlético Torino. His mother is Felicia Castrillon.

Luis Advíncula at Boca Juniors
Luis Advíncula’s move to Argentine football came on July 10, 2021, when Boca Juniors offered $2.5 million to Rayo Vallecano, a club that included his Bicolor teammate Carlos Zambrano. The uncertainty about his arrival ended when it was announced that Advíncula would arrive in Argentina on July 21, 2021.
He made his debut on August 4, appearing against River Plate in the round of 16 of the Argentine Cup. The Xeneizes won 4-1 on penalties after a goalless draw. Finally, they became champions of this tournament on December 8th after defeating Talleres de Córdoba on penalties.
