Lebanon calls for stronger condemnation of Israeli crimes in Gaza

In an open letter to world leaders, the Lebanese statement called for reflection on the absolute horror and cruelty inflicted on innocent civilians in Gaza.

In this regard, the statement released by the Secretariat of the Council of Ministers noted that the intense images emanating from the Gaza Strip represent a torturous attack on the human spirit.

In this spirit, he questioned why nations and leaders choose to look the other way, “as if these horrors were mere mirages.”

Children, the epitome of purity and innocence, were mercilessly slaughtered and countless innocent lives suffered a cruel fate with unimaginable cruelty, he denounced.

Against this background, he emphasized that the relentless killings in Gaza are not vehemently condemned and the world is inexplicably silent.

“These children are not victims of their actions; “They are innocent beings whose only fault is being born in Palestine,” he added.

Lebanon rejected the blatant violation of human rights and the double standards that represent a blow to morality and dignity.

In this context, he pointed out that the world has a solemn duty to protect these children and innocent souls and to stop the massacres in Tel Aviv.

Gaza, once described as an open-air prison, has now turned into a vast cemetery; a frightening testimony to the abyss of cruelty into which humanity has fallen, he admitted.

On this issue, the Lebanese Cabinet noted that the indiscriminate killing of hundreds of people in a refugee camp, hospital or school is an affront to the collective conscience of the world.

He also advocated paving a path to peace and guaranteeing the Palestinians basic rights and human dignity.

The world can find a just solution to the Palestinian problem. It is time to heed the call of empathy and reason, he concluded.
