The return to the stage of the play “Les Choristes” has attracted at least 80,000 spectators so far.
While its performances are just beginning at Montreal’s Monument-National, the play, directed by Serge Denoncourt, has just surpassed 80,000 tickets sold, Just for Laughs announced Monday.
Inspired by the film of the same name, the play brings to the stage François L’Écuyer (Clément Mathieu), Henri Chassé (director Rachin), Gary Boudreault (Father Maxence), Louise Cardinal (Violette Morhange), Michel-Olivier Girard (Professor Langlois) and Sacha Bolduc (Mongeau).
The young choristers were selected from the choirs of the Petits Chanteurs du Mont-Royal and the Petits Chanteurs de Laval.
Les Choristes will be presented at the Monument-National until January 19th.
