You made us cry Karl Tremblay. By devoting all your remaining energy to singing boldly with the best crowd of 90,000 people on the Plains of Abraham on Monday night, you gave cancer the best middle finger and gave the Cowboys Fringants family the most emotional moments ever this mythical place .

You felt the love of the Quebecers, my dear Karl, didn’t you? You saw that we all had your back during this show that we wanted so much that the festival was extended by a day to do it.
On our side we have seen that you will never let go of Jean-François, Jérôme and your Marie-Annick, who looked at you lovingly at the end of Here-Bas, the emotionally charged starting point of a moving concert.

If you needed a break or your voice broke, they took over with us and let you sit down to catch your breath. So that you can give us magical moments.
“We’ll get through”
magic how? Like that time you asked for help and got it from the Plains that lit up to sing with you on my shoulder.
A moving prelude to the Cowboys Fringants concert, Here-Bas for sure, with Karl giving Marie-Annick a loving look before throwing the party with Bye Bye Lou. #JDQ #FEQ pic.twitter.com/PTK8eRCPbo

Your friend Jean-François Pauzé had just offered you a five-minute break. you didn’t want it “We’ll take the break later.”
Have the plains ever been more beautiful than when time stood still? Never.
We were overwhelmed and proud when you told us “that guy’s in trouble, but never mind, we’ll get through it”.

“You know, continued, we’ve had festivals all over the Francophonie. To be honest, the Festival d’été de Québec is the most beautiful festival in the world. […] There’s nothing better than playing with us in Quebec again. […] Are we really home, bitch?
In the media tent, all eyes were wet.

The heart at the party
It was so touching to see Marie-Annick kiss you as you walked straight past while seated.
Karl, Crisse, you were a warrior. You got up and we got the party going as you swung The Manifestation, The Queen, Happy Calvary and The Shack to Hector.
With a smile on their face, they watched as Jérôme Dupras indulged in a daring bodysurf session, then invited festival-goers to come on stage and keep dancing. As long as we have love for you.
All the symbolism of that memorable evening was there: the Quebec flag on your shoulders, your admirers behind you.

ovation
As a reminder, asking Sara Dufour to narrate you the lyrics about the skinned lover duo from Merchant Marine was a great idea. The public, of course, contributed significantly to an admirable collective festive dynamic.
Without batting an eyelid, against all odds, you covered the distance, bolt upright, until we all sang “The Shooting Stars” together, on the planes that were even more brilliantly lit, and you got the ovation you deserved.
Unforgettable
We wanted to go but you didn’t want to go. After almost two hours of concert, you started: “Another one?”
And then the tour musicians left, surrounded by their cowboys, and they ended with Un p’tit tour. It was great. Another extension for the FEQ.
