According to the Líbero newspaper, after meeting with then-President of the FPF Edwin Oviedo, the “Tiger” had an annual salary of $3.7 million. In this way, Gareca surpassed great personalities such as Lionel Scaloni, Reinaldo Rueda, Gustavo Alfaro, among others.
However, this amount differs significantly from what Juan Máximo Reynoso will receive during his time as coach of the Peru team. The above media indicates that his monthly salary would be similar to what he received at Cruz Azul, which is $1.3 million per year.
