Leticia Sabatella says autism diagnosis brought a feeling of liberation TV

The 52yearold actress Leticia Sabatella explained this Sunday (17) in Fantástico that she felt a liberating feeling with the diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), level 1, in noise. The actress said her “characteristics” now make sense.

“That is the value of a good diagnosis, which paves the way, because a person who does not know himself is more vulnerable to oppression,” he said. She has always had great hearing, but likes to be touched, it just depends on the way.

One of the experts interviewed on Sunday’s program explained that ASD is present from birth because it is a developmental disorder. Level 1 is a person who does not have an intellectual disability but has difficulties in communication, behavior, and social and sensory skills.

The person does not need much support for the rest of their life and the diagnosis is made through interviews. The less obvious the condition, the harder it is to identify.

“When I was nine years old, all the girls at school stopped talking to me and I didn’t understand it,” the actress recalled. She said she is trying to figure out without despair and gain a better understanding of the diagnosis. “Everyone sees me as very sensitive, and hypersensitivity is a characteristic of me,” said the artist.

She also said that strong outbursts always have strong triggers in her behavior, such as fatigue or anxiety. “These are situations in which there was a lack of understanding, but I wouldn’t have wanted to react like that,” explained Leticia.

The actress revealed the story on the Papagaio Falante podcast and is still trying to understand the discovery, the late diagnosis. “I have always been recognized as a Pisces, as an artist, as a romantic, as a dreamer, as an idealist… The diagnosis brings relief to those who spend their lives feeling different and misunderstood.”
