The Confederação Israelita do Brasil informed Meta of the publication, saying that messages like the actress’s were “obstacles to peace.”
Conib (Confederação Israelita do Brasil) notified Meta, the North American conglomerate that owns Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, due to a post shared by actress Letícia Sabatella on Sunday (November 5, 2023) about the conflict between Israel and Hamas.
In the publication, the actress explained that “most of the Israeli civilians killed in the Hamas terrorist attack” on October 7, 2023, when the conflict in the Middle East began, “were shot down by Israeli soldiers.” Read the release below.
For the Confederacy, “messages like these from Sabatella are vile, painful and offensive lies, real obstacles to peace.” They also consider the extremist group’s surprise attack “the worst massacre against the Jewish people since the Holocaust.”
In a video published on Instagram this Monday (November 6th, 2023), the actress said that she “does not support any act of terrorism” and wants “these bombings, these massacres to stop.” He also stated that “the ceasefire must be general.”
Sabatella explained that his profile on the social network is an open space for dialogue and that he tries to “always look for reason”. She also urged users to follow her new page in case the official page is no longer available.

“CONIB notified Meta (Instagram) of a post by actress Letícia Sabatella, who published fake news about the terrorist attacks against Israeli civilians on October 7th.
Sabatella published a text on Sunday (5/11) with the following message: “Most of the Israeli civilians killed in the Hamas terrorist attack on 7/10/23 were shot by Israeli soldiers.”
“Hamas terrorists marched on October 7th. invaded Israel, killing more than 1,300 people, including children, women, the elderly and pregnant women. Hundreds more people were kidnapped, including dozens of children. Among those killed and kidnapped are citizens of more than 20 nationalities, including Brazilians. The worst massacre of the Jewish people since the Holocaust was recorded and made public by the terrorists themselves.
