However, this time we were offered a much more defensive game. Jakub Dobes made 25 saves in the defeat. Devon Levi was outstanding in front of his goal, stopping 32 pucks.
It was the undermanned Brett Murray who scored the winning goal early in the third period. Additionally, the Rocket had several difficulties with the man advantage, being shut out four times.
In the second period, Brandon Gignac responded to Isak Rosen's opening goal. The Laval forward expertly beat Levi after weaving his way between the two Rochester defenders.
Mason Jobst sealed the visitors' win with an unanswered goal.
With this setback, Laval recorded its fourth defeat in five games. The teammates of Logan Mailloux, who had an assist on Saturday, are in fifth place in the North Section. They are two points behind the Americans (4th) and the Toronto Marlies (3rd).
The Rocket will play the next five games at opposing rinks. This streak begins on February 9th against the Marlies.
