Lewis Capaldi announced he would be taking another break from the spotlight because of his mental health as he took the stage in Glastonbury on Saturday.
The 26-year-old singer, who has Tourette’s Syndrome, had canceled all work commitments earlier this month to “rest and recuperate” ahead of his Glastonbury performance.
He returned to the stage for the first time in weeks to perform on the Pyramid Stage but confirmed he would be taking another break in the coming weeks.
The Scottish star explained that fans may not see him much for the rest of the year as he plans to quit work due to ill health.
Towards the end of his performance, he told the audience, “I feel like I’m going to take a little break again in the next few weeks. You probably won’t see much of me for the rest of the year.”

Break: The 26-year-old singer, who suffers from Tourette’s Syndrome, had canceled all work commitments earlier this month to ‘rest and recuperate’ ahead of his performance in Glastonbury.
Lewis has been open about his struggles with Tourette’s – a neurological condition characterized by a combination of involuntary sounds and movements called tics that can cause speech and voice disorders.
During his Glastonbury show, Lewis also spoke candidly about why he was taking a three-week break from the stage ahead of the music festival.
He said: “I took three weeks off because I was on the road non-stop earlier in the year and wanted a break for my head and mental health. I wanted to come back and visit Glastonbury because it’s so amazing.’ ‘
Lewis appeared very emotional during his performance at Glastonbury as he was struggling with Tourette’s symptoms and losing his voice while singing, prompting him to apologize to the audience.
While he was coughing and struggling to sing, his supportive fans would gather around him and help him sing his hits since he was forced to temporarily stop due to his vocal problems.
Despite his difficulties, Lewis insisted on finishing his performance, and the show came to an emotional conclusion as the audience lovingly sang “Someone You Love” to him.
In that heartwarming moment, Lewis took to the stage and sang brief segments of the track while the friendly crowd sang at the top of their lungs to support the star.

They also insisted the Scottish singer had nothing to apologize for, praising his “fantastic” show and praising him for completing his performance despite his difficulties.
One fan wrote: “Blown away @LewisCapaldi at Glastonbury.” I’ve been coming for years and this is one of the best sets I’ve seen. Absolutely nothing to apologize for, everyone around me was crying by the end. Great.’
Another said: “Bravo @LewisCapaldi. A brilliant set and well done to keep going. “There is absolutely no reason to apologize for a fantastic show.”
While a third tweeted: “Lewis Capaldi’s last song was such an emotional sight, good for him he did his best!!”

Despite the incredible support from his fans, Lewis appeared dejected as he left the stage and thanked his fans for all their support after they helped him sing.
During his performance, Lewis had apologized to fans for saying his voice was “tired” but insisted on going ahead with his performance as he admitted he was “annoyed” with himself.

He then belted out “Hold Me While You Wait” while playing guitar, with fans singing along to the lyrics during a few moments when he had to temporarily stop singing.
Between tracks, the supportive crowd went wild as they cheered him on as he paused temporarily and his coughing could be heard as he battled Tourette’s Syndrome.
He then said: “Glastonbury, I’m really sorry, I’m a bit annoyed with myself here,” which caused the crowd to cheer for him and, in a sweet moment, yelled his name.
