Lewis was in much appreciated company in Melbourne on Thursday night as he dined with former US President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle.

The trio enjoyed a meal in a private upstairs room in Embla and the F1 Champion’s parents also attended the very special dinner.

The politician’s security detail occupied “most of the lower floor,” according to The Herald Sun, and the restaurant was specifically closed to her visit.

Obama ordered the broccoli cream soup and a lamb entree along with a vodka martini.

Michelle chose wine for her drink, and the American dignitaries chose not to order dessert.
