Eiichiro Oda Comicon Career Award 2022

Japanese cartoonist Eiichiro Oda, creator of the popular manga One Piece, was presented with the Comicon of Naples 2022 Special Lifetime Achievement Award during the festival’s conference held today at the MANN – National Archaeological Museum of Naples.

The Comicon Award celebrates the career of Eiichiro Oda and in particular the recent milestone of 100 numbers cut from One Piece. The Oda manga has been published since 1997 and has sold millions of copies worldwide. Manga number 100 was recently published in Italy by Star Comics, who will present a special limited edition box set at Comicon 2022 for the occasion.

The recognition for Eiichiro Oda is just a preview of the Comicon 2022 awards, taking place this year from April 22nd to 25th at the Mostra D’Oltremare.

THAT Comicon 2022 Official Palmarès Awardscomposed of nine competition categories, divided into the Micheluzzi Prizes, which reward Italian works, and the COMICON Prizes, dedicated to international works, will be announced and awarded during the awards ceremony, presented by TV presenter Valerio Lundini and for Sunday April 24, 2022 at 7.30 p.m. is scheduled in the auditorium of the Mediterranean Theater located in the Mostra d’Oltremare.
