Liga 1 confirms more cable operators will broadcast the tournament despite starting problems

This Friday, the organization of the tournament announced an agreement with 3 new telemarketers to host the channel that will have the exclusive broadcast of the competition.

During the social crisis the beginning of the League 1 2023 and the dispute between the clubs who want to continue with the Peruvian Football Consortium (GolPerú) and the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF) continues, confirmed the company 1190 Sports, the new company in charge of marketing the broadcasting rights of the event Freitag which has reached an agreement with three other cable network operators for the transmission of the matches of the Peruvian championship.

“USA RED, Cable Mundo Perú and Latin Cable will participate in the official broadcast of Liga1Betsson 2023, announced global company 1190 Sports as part of expanding the reach and visibility of the Peruvian Championship, which can be enjoyed by more fans starting this year by establishing new operators in the country,” reported the FPF on its website.

All of these companies, in addition to Best Cable, which was confirmed a few weeks ago, only operate in the city of Lima. DirecTV, which was the first to reach an agreement with 1190 Sports, is currently the only one with nationwide coverage.

Which channel will broadcast League 1 2023?

A few days ago, the General Manager of 1190 Sports, Carlos Balassanian, explained that the Liga 1 and Liga 1 MAX channels will be set up, which will be included in the network of all authorized cable operators, but will have an additional cost to rate the regular service of these companies.

“In Liga 1 Max we will broadcast all Liga 1 matches included in the current FPF broadcast rights. The monthly subscription gives the fan the opportunity to see the home games of all clubs participating in the opening and final tournament, except for the home games of Carlos Mannucci, Sport Boys, Universitario and Deportivo Municipal,” he told La República.

When does League 1 start in 2023?

Since the draw for the attachment of the League 1 2023, carried out at the end of 2022, the start date of the championship was constantly being postponed. It was initially scheduled for January 14th, but was then postponed to the 21st of this month with the first matchday. Since this was suspended, date 2 (January 27) was planned as a new start, but it was also postponed. Day 3 (February 3rd) will be retained as the starting day for the time being, although new program changes cannot be ruled out.
