It positions itself as a true successor to the AE2w, but at the same time picks up on the aesthetic evolution that started in 2014 with the Bose QC25 and Co. One can only hope that the manufacturer has improved the sound performance…

In terms of usability and comfort, the Bose SoundLink II is clearly one of the best in its class. However, the sound reproduction is still a bit dull, which we noticed with the QC25. Nonetheless, it’s an excellent on-the-go listening solution for those who want to enjoy their favorite songs for long periods of time.

The Backbeat Go 810 is a solid choice if you’re looking for an active noise-cancelling wireless listening companion under the $150 mark…especially if you plan on using it primarily that way. However, the sound reproduction is only really interesting in this application. Apart from that, it remains a complete and pleasant to use model. If you’re unsure, take a look at the equally interesting HD 4.50 BTNC, or simply the Backbeat Pro 2, as this is now close in price.
