Jordan Guivin was announced on June 29th as a new reinforcement University of Sports for the Torneo Clausura 2022. The experienced midfielder came on loan with an option to buy from Celaya FC from the Liga Expansión MX. This marks his return to Peruvian football just months after he signed for the Mexico team.
With this in mind, there are many other cases of players who have returned to the Peruvian tournament for different reasons and in this note you can meet some of them.
Aldair Fuentes
The pivot returned to Alianza Lima after a discreet stint at Fuenlabrada in the Spanish second tier, where he made 30 appearances over two seasons (2020-21 and 2021-22). Fuentes was disregarded by the manager, who stated in an interview for Infobae that he hadn’t adjusted. “I think he hasn’t adapted here as he lacks some character and rhythm as he’s not a fast player,” said then-strategist José Luis Oltra.
So far he has played 12 games and scored no goals.

Fernando Pacheco
The forward was the sensation of Sporting Cristal between 2018 and 2019 for his speed and goals, which earned him the signing of the same Fluminense from Brasileirao. However, he didn’t have many chances and was loaned out to Juventude in 2021. At the end of the same year, the sky blue team announced his return for this season and so far he has only gone 11 games without scoring.
