He is self-taught

No one took the rapper by the hand to perfect his craft. Noticing interest in his music on social media, Lil Durk took the plunge and learned everything he needed to know through videos and other online tutorials.

In order to be as self-sufficient as possible, he also founded his own label, which he called OTF (Only the Family).

Six nominations in 2022

The one who has 5.53 million subscribers on his YouTube channel must have found the 2022 gala season frustrating. With six nominations, including Grammys, BET Awards and American Music Awards, he secured his name, even if the rapper went home empty-handed.

$465,000 for a collaboration

Anyone looking to advance their career by offering a collaboration with Lil Durk has to be willing to put their hands in their pockets. In an interview with the Full Send podcast in 2022, the artist explained that he asked the handsome sum of $464,642 to add his voice to a song by an artist he didn’t know.

“I can show you bills if you don’t believe me,” he told the skeptical podcast hosts.

Several big names on his latest album

Proof that the 31-year-old rapper’s career is on the rise is his latest project, Almost Healed, which was released last May and features collaborations with Alicia Keys, Future, 21 Savage and J. Cole. Even country singer Morgan Wallen lent his vocals to the album and performed on the track “Stand By Me.”
