The duo, along with Lacey Chabert, who also stars in the film, reunited after nearly 20 years to star in Walmart’s new Black Friday commercial, which premiered Wednesday.

In the ad, the three actresses reprise the roles they played in the 2004 teen comedy, but they are now adults. In addition, several actors who played supporting roles in the cult film also appear, including Rajiv Surendra and Daniel Franzese.

Lindsay Lohan’s character Cady Heron returns as a guidance counselor, while Karen Smith, played by Amanda Seyfried, remains a weather reporter and Gretchen Wieners, played by Lacey Chabert, is a very active mother. “Some things never change. We wear pink on Wednesdays, but now we’re taking advantage of Walmart’s Black Friday deals,” Cady is heard saying in voiceover as Gretchen pulls up to her old high school in a convertible full of shopping bags.

The spot revisited some of the film’s most famous scenes, such as Jingle Bell Rock’s performance during the winter talent show. “It was so nice to be together again after all these years. It was great meeting everyone,” Lindsay Lohan, 37, told People.

Lacey Chabert, 41, added: “It was wonderful spending the day with Amanda and Lindsay and so much fun reminiscing and being together again.” »

Rachel McAdams, who played Regina George in the film, did not take part in the commercial.
