Lindsay Lohan's father Michael Lohan took to Instagram on Wednesday to announce that he had a cancerous lesion on his hand removed.

The Syosset New York native delivered a message of faith as he reflected on the health crisis.
He said, “TODAY. Never be ashamed of the scars that life has left on you. A scar means the pain is over, the wound is closed, you endured the pain, and God healed you. Amen!'
Michael spoke to TMZ on Wednesday following the procedure and said he was “diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma” around 2020.

Michael said that “a suspicious lesion” on his hand led him to undergo a biopsy, which discovered a cancer that had “deep roots.”
Michael said doctors told him Tuesday night that the growth needed to be removed immediately, which he did Wednesday.
Doctors had to “do a lot of digging” to remove the growth, Michael told the outlet, and were able to remove it effectively.
Doctors have told Michael he is dealing with an “aggressive” form of cancer that he remains vigilant against, he said.
Michael told the outlet that he did not inform his daughter Lindsay about the emergency procedure so as not to “worry or interfere with her work.”
The outlet reported that Michael alerted his son, Michael Jr., to the incident.
Michael received a number of empathetic, spiritual and supportive responses from his followers following the medical procedure.
One person said, “I pray for your complete healing, Michael, in Jesus name, Amen!”
