Lindsay Shiver, hitman, begs the judge in the Bahamas to allow her to return to the United States to reunite with her three sons while she awaits trial for plotting to kill with a hitman and lover her ex-NFL player husband planned

Lindsay Shiver has asked a judge for permission to return to the United States and reunite with her children while she sits on bail in the Bahamas awaiting trial on charges of conspiring to murder her ex-husband.

Shiver and her Bahamian boyfriend will go on trial in March for allegedly plotting to unleash an assassin on her husband Robert Shiver and failing to leave the island nation.

On Friday, Shiver asked a judge in the Bahamas for permission to visit the United States, and prosecutors did not object, Court TV reported.

The judge said he would consider the matter before making a ruling. Shiver's next court hearing is scheduled for December 21st.

Shiver's lawyer, CB Wells, said: “Lindsay looks forward to being reunited with her children.” “The separation has been extremely difficult for them.”

“Her lawyers continue to prepare for trial and Lindsay continues to be fully cooperative with the Bahamian justice system. “She is approaching the legal process with complete transparency.”

The mother of three has not been able to see her children since her arrest in July. She pleaded not guilty and was ordered to remain on the island, where she must observe a curfew and report to police three times a week.

In October, Shiver was the victim of a burglary after a thief ransacked her apartment and stole $20,000 worth of jewelry.

The items searched include a $15,000 diamond bracelet belonging to LeMel, a pair of gold rings – family heirlooms passed down to her from her grandmother and mother – and $200 cash found from the former Georgia beauty queen's handbag was stolen.

Shiver, 36, is accused of conspiring with her bartender lover Terrance Adrien Bethel, 28, to frame Faron Newbold, 29 – aka Faylo – for the murder of former Auburn star Robert.

Prosecutors said the trio discussed the attempted attack over WhatsApp before Shiver sent a photo of Robert, who filed for divorce in April, to Newbold – along with the instruction: “Kill him.”

According to documents seen by , the petite blonde broke down during her police interrogation and allegedly confessed to sending photos and messages to Newbold instructing him to murder her husband of 13 years.

The alleged murder plot was discovered by chance when police began investigating a break-in at Grabbers, a popular waterfront drinking establishment on Great Guana Cay.

They asked staff – including Bethel – to hand over their phones for inspection and found WhatsApp messages in which he, Shiver and Newbold allegedly discussed the murder of Robert, who was visiting his family's home in nearby Baker's Bay.

According to a well-informed source, the trio was arrested on July 21 and more incriminating messages were found on their devices.

Robert was on holiday away from his wife when the police contacted him to warn him about the plot. He was left behind “in fear for his life” and shortly afterwards flew back to the US with their children.

The former beauty pageant contestant is said to have been dating Bethel for several months, whom she met while vacationing on Great Guana Cay in the sun-drenched Abaco Islands, part of the Bahamas.

Robert's family owns an estate there at the exclusive Baker's Bay, a members-only golf resort where celebrities such as Michael Jordan, Justin Timberlake and Tom Brady own sprawling coastal villas.

But in April, they blocked Shiver from the family's luxurious residence and private jet after Robert found out about her affair with Bethel and filed for divorce, citing his wife's “adulterous behavior.”

Shiver countersued with a countersuit, accusing Robert of domestic abuse and claiming that any “extramarital relationship” occurred after the separation.

A native of Alabama, Shiver graduated from Auburn University, where the two met in 2007 when Robert was captain of the football team.

Robert signed with the Atlanta Falcons as a free agent, but was released before the 2009 season due to roster cuts and eventually became executive vice president of the Senior Life Insurance Company.

In an exclusive conversation with in August, Bethel declared his love for Shiver and said their marriage was on the rocks long before he came along. “None of us have anything to hide. “People take everything at face value and defame us,” he said.

Robert claimed his ex-wife previously had an affair with an unnamed 18-year-old lover, which she secretly smuggled into their vacation home in the Bahamas in the summer of 2022.
