Lindsie Chrisley will be spending Christmas with her parents in the last few weeks before jail.

The 33-year-old television personality recently revealed that she hadn’t seen the reality stars of Chrisley Knows Best since her sentencing last month and hadn’t visited them for Thanksgiving.

Her parents – Todd and Julie Chrisley – were sentenced to 12 and seven years in prison, respectively, after being found guilty of around $30 million in fraud and tax evasion.

She told People that her “original plan was to go to Nashville” to spend Thanksgiving with her parents – just days after the sentencing.

However, she said she had to change her plans because being a mother came first.

When asked if she’d seen her parents recently, she said, “I haven’t.”

The mother-of-one explained: “I had my son during the Thanksgiving break and since the sentencing came a few days before Thanksgiving and emotions were running high, unfortunately as a mother I had to make a decision about having a daughter and stayed home for Thanksgiving .«

She said the news was difficult for the family to digest but they would spend their final weeks celebrating Christmas together as a family.

“But in an attempt to honor the faith and allow them to process exactly what happened in court, I wanted to give them that space and respect,” she said.

“I plan to spend the Christmas holidays with my parents,” she added.

Lindsie said that although she hasn’t visited her parents recently due to parental responsibilities, she has “spent time with them.” [her] parents on the phone.

In an article published on Monday, she told People: “Of course I spend time with my parents on the phone because I also have joint custody [with my ex-husband William Campbell].’

The Coffee Convos co-host continued, “So I don’t have the luxury of being able to just pick up and drive to Nashville and be there by January.”

Regarding what her parents are currently doing, she said they “definitely devote their time to therapy and their Bible studies and their children.”

Todd, 53, and Julie, 49, were found guilty in June and recently ordered to appear in Florida jail on January 17.

After facing up to 30 years in prison, the judge on his release sentenced Todd to 12 years in prison and 16 months probation.

Julie was sentenced to seven years in prison and 16 months probation.

The couple have filed for a new trial in a joint case but remain in jail pending the appeals process.

“I think our focus at this point is just family together,” Lindsie said of coping with family. “We really don’t dare to go far from that. The focus is on the family.”

In an article published Monday, she told People, “My parents regularly say … that this time is basically about living each day like it’s your last, enjoying the moment and spending time with it to spend with their children who are in Nashville.”

The couple share four adult children – two from Todd’s previous marriage to Teresa Terry – and a teenage son, Grayson, 16.

“It’s vacation time,” she continued. “They’re approaching fast.

“My focus is on my parents, my siblings and my child and niece,” she said. “And I know that if they were asked the same questions, they would give the same answers.”
