This will be the legendary Argentine player's first visit to La Belle Province since he made the jump to the Garber circuit. Barring a playoff confrontation, this will also be his team's only visit to Montreal in 2024.
CF Montreal will also begin its campaign with six ties abroad starting February 24th. On this occasion, the Bleu-Blanc-Noir will visit Orlando City SC.
The Montreal team will reconnect with their fans and the Saputo Stadium for the first time on Saturday, April 13th. Cincinnati FC will be CF Montreal's opponents on this occasion.
The first duel against Toronto FC is scheduled for May 18th in the Queen City. The team's great rivals from Quebec will visit the metropolis of Quebec on July 20th.
CF Montreal will play 26 of its 34 games on Saturday and have seven meetings on Wednesday evening and a Sunday duel. A total of 28 games will be played against Eastern Conference opponents and six against Western teams, including against the Vancouver Whitecaps on July 6th.
Unlike previous years, CF Montreal will neither be able to start its regular season nor hold its training camp at the Olympic Stadium. The latter has to temporarily close its doors due to major work.
