Fans were disappointed “all night long”.

Lionel Richie was slammed by viewers at King Charles’ coronation concert on Sunday for his lackluster performance for the newly crowned monarch.

Richie, 73, took the stage in front of a crowd of 20,000 and belted out his biggest hits like “All Night Long” — which made the Alabama native famous in 1983 — and “Easy,” which Richie sang with the Commodores in 1977.

Several underwhelmed Twitter users compared Richie’s voice to the Muppet Kermit the Frog or that of a karaoke singer in a bar.

“Hello Met Police, I would like to report a murderer. Yes his name is Lionel Richie and the sacrifice is his own song.” tweeted an angry viewer.

“If anyone finds lost keys in Windsor, they belong to Lionel Richie.” bullied other.

“Lionel Richie sounds awful”, simple specified a third person.

“Okay, is it just me or has Lionel Richie lost the ability to sing?” tweeted a fourth person. “He doesn’t sound like himself at all.”

Other Twitter users defended the singer, blaming sound engineering for the problems.

“The sound of the main mic is terrible for everyone who has used it” defended a user.

“It’s a concert on a cruise ship. It’s absolutely shocking.” tweeted a second person.

The Post has reached out to Richie for comment.

Richie wasn’t the only high-profile celebrity to perform at the concert. Fellow American Idol judge Katy Perry followed him on stage, belting out a couple of her own hits.

Perry, 38, has been cemented into the coronation story after the “Roar” singer was spotted confused at Westminster Abbey, then tripped and almost fell to the ground after the ceremony.

Also on stage were British pop group Take That and former Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger, 44, who claimed to be having a real “Disney Princess moment” while singing “Reflections” from the movie “Mulan.”

Classical stars like the pianist Lang Lang and the opera singer Andrea Bocelli were also on the concert list the next day.

The musical celebration came just a day after the coronation ceremony, which took place at Westminster Abbey on Saturday May 6th.

It marked the official transfer of power from the late Queen Elizabeth II, who died in September aged 96.

Prince Harry was also present for his father’s accession to the throne, which was the first time the king had been back in the UK since the release of his hit novel ‘Spare’ in January.

The Duke of Sussex attended the ceremony without his wife Meghan Markle and was back on the plane to Los Angeles shortly after the coronation ceremony concluded.

He spent less than 24 hours in the UK.
