(CNN) — Singer Lisa Marie Presley, daughter of Elvis Presley, was hospitalized, according to a report from Entertainment Tonight on Thursday, which quoted a spokesman for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office.
TMZ was the first to report the news.
Los Angeles County Fire Department spokeswoman Kaitlyn Aldana told CNN that at 10:37 a.m. local time, emergency services responded to a call in the 5000 block of Normandy from Dr. in Agoura Hills, California, responded due to cardiac arrest.
Aldana would not confirm the patient’s name for privacy reasons, but said the patient was taken to a local hospital at 11:17 a.m. local time (2:17 p.m. Miami time).
A Los Angeles County Sheriff’s spokesman told CNN that they assisted firefighters on a medical call this morning, but also did not confirm the patient’s name.
A representative for Presley declined to comment after being contacted by CNN.

Priscilla Presley, mother of Lisa Marie Presley, shared a quick update on her daughter’s health on Thursday afternoon.
“My beloved daughter Lisa Marie was taken to the hospital. She is now receiving the best care. Please keep her and our family in your prayers. We feel everyone’s prayers and ask for privacy at this time,” she wrote in an Instagram post. shared with a photo of the two women.
Presley was spotted Tuesday night during the Golden Globe Awards, which she attended with her mother, Priscilla, in support of the Baz Luhrmann film “Elvis,” about her late father.

Presley, who was previously married to Michael Lockwood, Nicolas Cage, Michael Jackson and Danny Keough, has three other children: actress Riley Keough, Finley Aaron Love Lockwood and Harper Vivienne Ann Lockwood.
Last September, Presley shared in an essay how he experienced the grief for his son. “My life and that of my three daughters as we knew them was completely destroyed by his death. We live in it every day,” he wrote. “Grief is something you have to carry with you for the rest of your life, regardless of what certain people or our culture would have us believe. You ‘can’t get over it’, you’re ‘don’t go any further’, period”.
Describing grief at the time as “incredibly lonely,” Presley noted that typically only “a handful” of people stay in touch to offer ongoing support to a friend or family member who has suffered a profound loss.
