Lise Dion is currently under medical supervision, the communications agency SMAC said in a press release on Saturday. No further comments will be made at this time.

At 68, the quintessential Quebec comedy scene is ending the tour of the last one-woman show of her career, entitled Chu rend là.

She was due to present it on Friday evening at the Le Zénith venue in Saint-Eustache in the Laurentians, but felt unwell before taking the stage, her manager Daniel Senneville confirmed.

“Ticket holders will be notified of the refund or postponement process,” SMAC said in a press release.

In an interview with the Journal de Montréal in mid-September, the artist admitted that life on tour was starting to get “hard.”

The audience was there and gave a long applause. According to Productions 6e sens, this final show is scheduled to end in December 2023, capping 35 years on stage and screen and more than 1,300,000 tickets sold in her career. On December 22nd the spotlights at L’Étoile in Brossard were to finally go out.

One last goodbye

“Hello Saint Eustache! I’m doing the last two Lifetime shows in your beautiful and cozy venue, it’s hard. “It’s hard on the emotions, it’s hard to leave,” Lise Dion told her fans on Facebook on Friday.

On social networks, Internet users who attended Friday’s show are worried about the artist’s health. “All the best to Lise Dion who had to postpone her show tonight. “I hope she is okay and that it will just be a postponement,” one user wrote.

“Unfortunately, at the start of the show, Madame Lise Dion felt uncomfortable on stage and everything stopped. A full house, a disappointed and sad audience. Show postponed to a later date. Let’s hope for Ms. Dion’s sake that it’s not too serious,” worried another.

“Take care, Lise,” said a third.
