Mark Ogden believes USMNT would pose a threat to England should they be drawn into the same group in Qatar.
13.20 ET / 17.20 GMT: phew! That happened very quickly when the draw actually started. Now we can take a few seconds and take a look at the groups and how they all might turn out.
13.11 ET / 17.11 GMT: POT 4 DRAW NOW:
First from Pot 4 and it is Peru or Australia / United Arab Emirates. They have to go in Group D2 due to draw restrictions.
Ecuador are out next and will play in A2 and play the opening game of the finals against hosts Qatar.
Next it is Saudi Arabia and they have to go into C2.
Costa Rica or New Zealand next, and they cannot go to the US group. That means the playoff ties jump to E2.
Now we know who will get England and the United States! They are the winners of the UEFA playoffs between Wales or Scotland/Ukraine. That will be the US opening game on November 21st.
Cameroon are in G4 with Brazil, with Ghana in H2 with Portugal.
And last but not least it is Canada in F2 with Belgium, Morocco and Croatia.
13.03 ET / 17.03 GMT: POT 3 DRAW NOW:
IR Iran are first in Pot 3, playing against the United States and England! IR Iran is B2 and plays England first.
Next it is Senegal. You go to A3.
and Poland are C4.
Serbia can’t go in D, E and F as there are already two European teams. So they go to G with Brazil and Switzerland. G2 and Serbia play Brazil first.
Tunisia will play against France and Denmark who will be drawn to D4.
And in E4 it is Japan.
Morocco go group F3, and South Korea in h.
12.54 ET / 16.54 GMT: POT 2 DRAW NOW:
First out… it is Netherlands. They go in A4.
And be United States vs England Group B on Friday 25th November! The US is B3.
In Group C, it is Mexico! Mexico in 3rd place.
Denmark are the fourth team in D3.
And now we have… Germany! They will play against Spain in Group E! Place 3.
and Croatia go to F4.
Uruguay are next out but for the first time we have a suspension for the draw. They can’t join Brazil in Group G, so Uruguay goes in H3 with Portugal.
In order to Switzerland are in G3.
12.47 ET / 16.47 GMT: POT 1 DRAW NOW:
G1 is Braziland that means that H is Portugal.
F1 next, it is Belgium.
Now E1 for Spain.
France belong to group D1.
And second, it is Argentina! You go into C1.
England are first out after Qatar and in Group B! You go to B2.

12:27 PM ET / 4:27 PM GMT: Hosts Idris Elba and Reshmin Chowdhury will now conclude the first part of the ceremony with a tribute to some famous footballers who have recently passed away, including Diego Maradona, Gordon Banks and Gerd Muller.
12.25 ET / 16.25 GMT: So this is how the draw will work.
– It starts with pot 1, the strongest pot. A team is drawn to one position in each group (1, 2, 3 or 4), with the exception of Qatar which is A1.
– After Pot 1, we’ll go through 2, 3, and 4, emptying each pot before moving on.
– There may not be more than one team from each region except Europe. There will be 5 groups with two teams from Europe. Each group must have at least one team from Europe.

Of course, the dream draw for USA and Mexico, both in Draw Pot 2, is hosting Qatar.
Qatar is ranked 51st in the world while the rest of Pot 1 (Brazil, Belgium, France, Argentina, England, Spain, Portugal) are the top ranked countries in the world.
So the US and Mexico would like to get Qatar, South Korea and Ghana.
