After the signing, CH is aiming for its second win in a row a 3-2 overtime win against the Washington Capitals last Saturdaycourtesy of Cole Caufield.
The Sabers are in eighth and last place in their section with a record of 2-3. However, they won their last game 3-1 against the New York Islanders.
It was goaltender Eric Comrie who was in front of the net in this win, and the Sabers didn’t want to change the winning formula. The Quebecer Devon Levi will therefore not meet his childhood team.
Cayden Primeau, Kaiden Guhle (injured, checked daily) and Christian Dvorak did not accompany the Canadiens on the trip to Buffalo.
In net, Jake Allen makes his second consecutive start for the Canadiens.
