- The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) claimed on Thursday morning to have killed “dozens” of Hamas militants in Gaza overnight. Israeli soldiers fought ground battles in the Palestinian enclave, supported “by artillery fire and tanks, while directing an air strike from a helicopter and a rocket attack from a boat,” the IDF explained.
- The Israeli army also reported new tensions on the Israeli-Lebanese border late Thursday morning. Since the war began on October 7, there have been daily exchanges of fire between the IDF and pro-Palestinian armed groups, including Hezbollah. According to a count by Agence France-Presse, this violence in southern Lebanon claimed 66 lives in just under a month, including 48 Hezbollah fighters. According to Israeli authorities, eight soldiers and one civilian were killed on the Israeli side.
- Three Palestinians and an Israeli were killed in violence in several areas of the occupied West Bank on Thursday morning, according to the Palestinian Authority Health Ministry and Israeli emergency services. The West Bank, the Palestinian territory occupied by Israel since 1967, has been plagued by intensifying violence since the conflict began. According to the Palestinian ministry, more than 130 Palestinians have been killed there by fire from Israeli soldiers or settlers in the past four weeks.
- IDF spokesman Daniel Hagari said this on Thursday morning “242 people” were held by Hamas in the Gaza Strip. He added that 332 Israeli army soldiers died in battle since October 7th.
- This was reported by the administration that manages the Palestinian part of the Rafah border crossing Two coaches with a total of “one hundred travelers of foreign nationality” crossed the border crossing from Gaza to Egypt, Thursday morning. Cairo will help evacuate “around 7,000” foreigners and dual nationals from the Palestinian enclave, Egypt’s deputy foreign minister announced, without specifying the timeline for this evacuation plan.
- An initial evacuation operation on Wednesday allowed 76 injured Palestinians and 335 foreigners and dual nationals to leave Gaza, an Egyptian official said.
- The Hamas-controlled Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced this on Thursday 9,061 people, including 3,760 children, were killed in the Gaza Strip since the beginning of the war.
