There is a threat of famine. UNRWA, the United Nations agency for Palestinian refugees, estimates that 40% of Gaza's population is at risk of famine. “Every day is a fight for survival, to find food and water,” writes the UN agency.
American sale to Israel. Hamas on Saturday condemned the United States' “emergency” sale of ammunition and military equipment to Israel. “This is clear evidence of the American government’s full support for this criminal war,” the Islamist organization denounced in a press release. “The administration of President Joe Biden clearly agrees with and actively supports the atrocities committed by Israel.” As a reminder, Washington yesterday approved the sale of 155 mm grenades and other materials from its army stocks worth US 147.5 million -Dollar.
Fighters killed in Syria. 19 Iran-linked fighters were killed and around twenty injured in eastern Syria, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (OSDH) said on Saturday.
New number of people in Gaza. Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip have killed 21,672 people since October 7, the Hamas Health Ministry said on Saturday. Among them, 165 were killed and 250 others injured in the last 24 hours.
