Samsung's connected ring can be seen at the trade fair
MWC is not just about smartphones. The Galaxy Ring, the connected ring from the South Korean manufacturer, will be on display for the first time at the Samsung stand.
This connected object, announced in January during the manufacturer's Unpacked conference, could previously only be seen through images or videos. This is the first time the public can see what Samsung's ring will look like.
The Galaxy Ring – which may launch this summer – is intended to support chronically ill people. The brand's engineers hope to develop a non-invasive way to measure blood sugar levels in ring wearers. The technology to determine blood sugar levels without injection is expected to be integrated within the next five years.

Artificial intelligence is finding its way into smartphones
Artificial intelligence has been an emerging technology for more than a year and is expected to shape most presentations at MWC 2024.
AI “is clearly undergoing democratization and is now embedded everywhere: in phones, in devices, in networks,” assures AFP Forrester analyst Thomas Husson.
If the technology had already reared its ugly head at the previous edition of the show, “we have a much better idea of how operators and the mobile industry can benefit from it,” says Peter Jarich, head of research at GSMA.
