12:30 pm. : For the first time, texts are read out in the other languages spoken in this country: Welsh, Scottish Gaelic and Irish Gaelic. Charles was the first Prince of Wales in centuries to learn Welsh, which is still spoken by almost 540,000 people today.

12:13 p.m : “The Oath of the King”. Written in 1688, this coronation oath has undergone variations over the centuries. Elizabeth II, for example, had vowed to rule the people of the United Kingdom and the 14 other countries over which the Crown rules “by their laws” and to defend the Anglican religion, of which the monarch is the head.

12:10 p.m : Charles III. is introduced and cheered by the audience before taking the oath.

11:48 : “God saves the king”. In the Dordogne, this Saturday in Terrasson (5pm) the English university rugby team will live their meeting against France differently by singing the anthem as narrated by France Bleu Périgord.

11:42 : Charles and Camilla, in white party dresses, are seated in the Diamond Jubilee State Coach, a majestic carriage drawn by six horses, 15 feet long and weighing 3 tons. At the head of the procession is the Household Cavalry Mounted Band. Hundreds of soldiers take part in this procession, which began on the Mall, the long avenue that runs from Buckingham to Trafalgar Square and then crosses Whitehall, the Ministries Quarter, before reaching the Abbey.

10:54 : Following the ceremony, the UK will enjoy three days of celebrations to mark the coronation of Charles III. to celebrate. On Sundays, the populace is invited to share a “big lunch” through neighborhood feasts and the “coronation quiche” on the menu, a dish common in France but rare in the United Kingdom. The recipe was revealed by the palate in mid-April: with spinach, broad beans and tarragon. France Bleu Mayenne tested this quiche.
