Two Russian missiles hit a hotel in Kharkiv, northeastern Ukraine, on Wednesday evening, injuring 11 people, including Turkish journalists, the city's mayor Ihor Terekhov announced. One of the injured was “in a very serious condition,” Mr. Terekhov said on Telegram.

“Turkish journalists are also among the victims,” he added, without giving the number. The police, for their part, reported that a journalist from a foreign newspaper was injured.

Several other buildings, including two residential buildings, as well as cars were also damaged by the strike, the mayor said.

According to Oleh Synehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, the two Russian S-300 missiles hit the hotel in the Kiev district at around 10:30 p.m. (9:30 p.m. Paris time), where there were thirty civilians. Nine of the 11 injured were taken to hospital and two were treated at the scene, he added on Telegram. He said the most seriously injured person was a 35-year-old man. The other injured were three men between the ages of 31 and 38 and seven women between the ages of 23 and 71, he continued.
