BRITISH TANK DESTROYED IN UKRAINE
A British Challenger 2 tank delivered from London to Kiev was actually destroyed, British Defense Secretary Grant Shapps confirmed. “As far as we know, this is the first defeat,” he told Sky News. “We accept that there may be material losses in a war zone,” he added, noting that London had no plans to replace the vehicle.
As a reminder, the United Kingdom delivered 14 Challenger 2 tanks to Ukraine this year. This would be the first destruction of such a device on a battlefield since it entered service in 1994, apart from one hit by friendly fire in Iraq in 2003, the Guardian clarified on Tuesday.

The head of American diplomacy should use his visit to Kiev to announce $1 billion in new aid to Ukraine, a senior State Department official told reporters.
Washington will continue its “efforts” to ensure that the Ukrainians have “what they need for this phase of the fight,” the State Department official assured on condition of anonymity, referring to the counteroffensive. Moscow’s “revenge” is being prepared

A DEATH IN ODESSA
A Russian drone strike in the Odessa region of southern Ukraine killed one person, local governor Oleg Kiper said, adding that port and agricultural infrastructure had been damaged. “Unfortunately, one person died in hospital from his injuries,” he lamented, stating that the victim was employed in agriculture.

Kyiv in Russia’s sights
Last night, Kiev was the target of a combined attack with “cruise missiles” and other “probably ballistic” missiles, the head of the military administration, Serguiï Popko, said on Telegram. “All targets in the direction of the capital were destroyed by air defense,” he assured.
