Surprise visit of the head of Japanese diplomacy to Ukraine
The head of Japanese diplomacy, Yoko Kamikawa, is in Ukraine this Sunday to meet her counterpart Dmytro Kuleba and assure him of Tokyo's continued support, the Japanese Foreign Ministry said.
The visit was not initially announced in the official schedule of Ms. Kamikawa's two-week trip, which began on Friday and included trips to Poland, Finland, Sweden, the Netherlands, the United States, Canada, Germany and Turkey. She was supposed to travel to Ukraine from Warsaw on Sunday, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
