With a nod to the 1970s and looking for inspiration for next season’s gear Liverpool skipped two decades to the exciting days of the mid-1990s when designing its new away kit.

The Reds have reimagined one of their most memorable kits, bringing a fresh, modern twist to the eye-catching pattern of the exquisite 1995-96 away kit.

The green and white jersey, still popular with fans, was worn by players such as e.g Ian Rush, John Barnes and Robbie Fowler. At the tender age of 20 poultry He finished the 1995/96 season as the club’s top scorer and second-top scorer after England Alan Shearer of Blackburn (who also happened to score many of his goals for Rovers in his signature home shirt).

Of the 28 goals of poultry in the premier league Few will be remembered better this season than his powerful run and excellent chip scoring against his rivals Liverpool, Manchester United.

Unfortunately, the campaign itself was not particularly glorious for Liverpool. Roy Evans’ side finished a distant third in the Premier League title race behind United, who also beat their opponents in the FA Cup final. The early elimination in the League Cup and the UEFA Cup also caused little glamor on the pitch.

However, the away kit worn during this season has stood the test of time and 2023-24 will be the case Liverpool and manufacturer Nike revise the popular design.

The new kit features a similar quarter design, although the lines aren’t as clearly defined as the original. Instead, large blobs of three different hues are placed in a glittery digital graphic on a cool white background, with a simple black border tying it all together.

In the opening video, stars from the men’s and women’s teams play around with various ’90s fashion and tech accessories, with cameo appearances from men’s coach Jurgen Klopp and even Fowler himself.

The new away kit is combined with black shorts and white socks, which feature complementary black and green detailing.

The men’s team will wear it for the first time when they compete against the Leicester City in Singapore as part of their pre-season plan.
