BY Alejandro Feregrino-. Since her television debut almost 13 years ago, Livia Brito has had leading roles in highly successful series and soap operas such as La piloto, La desalmada and Muchacha italiana viene a casarse.
But she has also been involved in several infidelity and other scandals, such as when she and her then-boyfriend attacked a paparazzi in 2020, which earned her a lawsuit; or his relationship with reggaeton Said Pichardo, who was arrested a few days ago with millions of dollars in cash, drugs and guns.
But nothing compares to the painful confession she made in a recent interview: she was raped and raped by her ex-partner, Colombian singer Danny Frank.
Speaking to Yordi Rosado’s YouTube channel, the Cuban assured that not only was she injured once, but that “it was a process of very strong psychological violence and I didn’t know how to get out of it.” He even hit me having sex with me. Sometimes I keep quiet about many things, let them say what they want, because I know what I’ve experienced. I don’t care what other people say,” he said.
According to Brito, it was all caused by Frank’s alcoholism. “He arrived at 6am very drunk, to the brim, and about to force love. I was extremely tired, he got to the point where he raped me,” she said through tears.
“I hammered nails in the door to prevent him from entering, I hammered nails in the floor to prevent him from entering and he smashed the door in. I was still an adjutant at the time and I started studying at CEA.” .
Who is Danny Frank?
Danny Frank was born in 1981 in the city of Cali, Colombia. For several years he was a member of the Yambaó Orchestra, with whom he traveled several times to Mexico, where he finally settled for several years.
With his album “Nítido” he sold more than 200,000 copies and made a career as a salsa singer in Mexico. It was nominated for a Latin Grammy for Best Tropical Traditional Album.

In recent years he has recorded collaborations with singers such as Gilberto Santa Rosa, Julieta Venegas and Paquita la del Barrio, among others.
During his time in Mexico, he met the not-yet-famous Livia Brito, with whom he had a multi-year relationship that reached almost to the altar.
“It was a literal rape. He hit me to have sex with me, he hit me,” Livia recalled.
Although it was always rumored that this relationship ended because the Cuban actress started a relationship with her co-star Salvador Zerboni, Brito assured in the interview that in reality he was the one who was unfaithful.
“He cheated on me in Colombia and I started to realize it because he didn’t like me the way I was anymore.”
The other side of the coin
Brito recalled that Frank had come to give several interviews telling his version and accusing her of being unfaithful. But he’s since decided that he wouldn’t wear himself out trying to deny criticism and rumours.
“I’m silent about a lot of things when I listen to the interviews – because he’s given interviews – and I’m silent, why am I going to talk? I prefer that they say, that they speak, that they say anything they want.”
“In the end, I’ll keep working, I’ll keep trying, and I’ll keep being who I am because I know what really happened and I know what I’ve been through. And I don’t care what other people say, because I will keep fighting. But there is something behind it, and then they judge without knowing the other part of the coin.
Since then, Brito has asserted that he has chosen not to believe or spread gossip or rumours.
“We do not know the other party, we are not judges to judge anyone.”
