Rosalie Vaillancourt arrived at the loft of “LOL: Who Will Laugh at the Denier?” fully loaded with only one idea in mind, not to laugh at their own jokes.
In advance of filming, which took place last May, the comedian had drawn up a list of gags, which she then put into her box on location. “When I ran out of ideas, I looked at my list and it was really useful. I had also listened to ‘Fail’ videos to practice not laughing and the other seasons of the show,” she told QMI Agency on Tuesday during Prime Video’s New City Gas program launch.
“My strategy from the start has been to target the most vulnerable people. I said to myself: “When I come back, I will attack!” Attack, attack, attack. After that, if I stay, I’ll take a break and then I’ll attack again,” she explained, recalling the fatigue she felt as she left the villa.
“Things happen every second. If there is no lizard, there is a clown on the other side. I’ve never been so stimulated in my life. It was really tiring,” she said with a laugh.
The comedian, who is currently recording the voices for the second season of “Complètement Lycée,” also said she was proud of herself. “I didn’t think about whether what I was doing would look good on TV. I was able to concentrate and not have to think too much. I think that’s what I’m most proud of. “I don’t want to judge myself because it’s really also a creative space where you have to dare and try something,” she added.
“I’ve thought so much about what people said about me over the last two years… that I didn’t care and it felt good. It freed me,” Rosalie Vaillancourt continued, admitting that she had prepared some surprises in the game for her friend Katherine Levac, who will also be part of the adventure.

A more offensive game
While the third season has just finished filming, the second season of “LOL: Who Laughs Last?”, which will be available on the American giant’s platform from winter 2024, will offer viewers some new elements.
The game will focus more on the offense of its players. Leaving is prohibited under penalty of receiving a card. Players also have to be more active in trying to make people laugh. As a result, consequences have been replaced by privileges, for example a contestant could be granted the right to laugh to reward their efforts in making others laugh, advised the competition’s host and referee Patrick Huard.
The comedian, who is currently working on the return of Good Cop, Bad Cop to the big screen, admitted on Tuesday that he was involved in some of the game’s key moments. “I love my role as host.” “I prefer watching to acting, but I allowed myself moments in seasons 2 and 3 where I was half-involved in patents,” he said, without really dwelling on them Wanting to determine the “twists” that the show intends.
The outcome of the competition will likely be decided in the very last minutes of the game, the actor added, admitting that he cried with laughter several times throughout the season.
According to him, Pier-Luc Funk, Philippe Laprise Stéphane Rousseau as well as Katherine Levac and Rosalie Vaillancourt are the players to keep an eye on.
Mariana Mazza, Roxane Bruneau, Fabien Cloutier, Tai TL and Neeve complete the second season cast.
“LOL: Who Laughs Last?” is scheduled to be available on Prime Video in winter 2024.
