The first of Lollapalooza was marked by the debuts of Billie Eilish, Lil Nas X and Kali Uchis in Brazil. The three artists showed why they are at the forefront of pop music today. The Interlagos Circuit in São Paulo has received more than 103,000 people, according to the festival’s production.
Among the Brazilians, Black Alien announced a tour de force with Xamã on stage, Anavitória put on a good early afternoon vibes show and Pedro Sampaio ended the presentation by stating that he was bisexual.
But only one attraction performed twice and on different stages: Pabllo Vittar wasn’t even in the lineup, but sang with Sampaio and danced with Lil Nas X.

Pabllo Vittar returns to Lolla at a Lil Nas X show, see participation
Lil Nas X’s debut was a theatrical and danceable performance. It would have been memorable, but it still had quick participation from Pabllo Vittar, who danced alongside the rapper. He fluttered until he sweated, rapped until he was hoarse and proved to be the epitome of new pop worth listening to: full of references, unprejudiced and as diverse as his wardrobe. Kali Uchis proved she’s at the forefront of pop with a hot and sensual debut in Brazil. The singer started with “Telepatía” and sent one hit after the other. The audience sang vigorously, showing that Latin music has a place here. She did original arrangements for “10%” and “De Nadie” and included a Brazilian remix snippet for “Dead to Me”. Pedro Sampaio opens show at Lollapalooza with “No Chão Novinha”
Making his debut at Lolla, Pedro Sampaio presented a show ready to be posted on social networks. The DJ from Rio brought together a sea of people who reproduced the dance steps of mega hits like “No Chão Novinha”, recorded with Anitta, and “Atenção”, by Luísa Sonza. Hits by others such as “Lovezinho”, a hit from the 2023 carnival, were of course also included. Pedro gave a short speech while playing “Toda forma de amor” by Lulu Santos. “If you think every form of love is fair, raise your hand.” The screen featured important figures in the LGBTQIA+ cause and at the end a photo of the artist reading “Pedro Sampaio bisexual”. Modest Mouse thanks fans on the Sunburn Stage
Modest Mouse manages to capture the audience’s attention with a rock that alternates between emotional and ironic, very serious (“Dramamine”) and very mocking (“Doin’ the Cockroach”), in the vein of their references Pixies and Pavement. Anavitória comments on the show at Lollapalooza
The show was Anavitória’s debut at the São Paulo festival. Main representatives of the gentle MPB, which has exploded among young people in recent years, managed to fill the audience of the event’s largest stage at a thankless moment. They prepared a minimalist show, without big surprises but functional. Black Alien sang a good portion of the songs from the album Below Zero: Hello Hell at the Chevrolet stage show this Friday afternoon (24th). The show’s surprise was Xamã’s participation when they announced a feat the two performed with Hariel. The song is called “Bad Girls and Bad Boys”.
