London: Russia wants more airborne troops news

British military intelligence assumes that Russian airborne troops will be more involved in offensive actions in Russia’s war against Ukraine in the future.

Airborne troops, who suffered severe losses in the early months of the war, have been equipped with the TOS-1A missile system, known as the “heavy flamethrower”, in recent weeks, according to the British Ministry of Defense daily bulletin today.

The system was previously used by a Russian army special unit in Ukraine to protect other units against biological, chemical and nuclear weapons. According to information from British intelligence, there were no reports of deployments of airborne troops, who operate both with helicopters and paratroopers.
