According to British intelligence services, the Russian offensive on the town of Wuhledar in eastern Ukraine has slowed down. It comes as part of a series of failed and extremely costly Russian attacks over the past three months, the British Ministry of Defense said at its daily briefing today.

Russian setbacks are due, among other things, to the successful use of anti-tank mines by Ukraine. In some cases, Ukraine left them above and behind advancing Russian units, which caused chaos as Russian troops retreated, the British said.
