A tiny Doberman Pinscher's mistress was offered $200,000 by a stranger who wanted to buy her puppy, and her reaction divided the internet.
“Someone offered me $200,000 (C$271,890) for our puppy and I told my husband, 'No way,'” the young woman explained. Would you sell your dogs for $200,000? It's my baby!”
Alexis Elliott told the story to her Tik Tok subscribers in a video that had more than 950,000 views, but the situation sparked a major reaction from users, the New York Post reported.
Some simply did not believe in the seriousness of the proposal, while others expressed their displeasure at Ms. Elliott's rejection.
“It’s a crime not to accept $200,000,” one user exclaimed.
“In this economic context? Yes,” replied another.
“I would have run upstairs and grabbed his things so quickly,” joked a third.
Others even used the video to offer their own animal for $200,000. One of these answers even gained its share of virality with more than 5 million views.
However, many users supported the young woman's refusal.
“ABSOLUTELY NOT. People who say yes shouldn't have dogs,” another user replied. This dog is my life.”
“Oh my God, never. “The idea of my dog feeling confused and abandoned breaks my heart,” another added.
In the comments, other people shared similar stories to Alexis Elliott, who doesn't seem to be the first person to experience this funny situation.
