The dog got scared while walking with his walker in the east of the city and ran away.
He was found on Friday at a refinery in Montreal's Pointe-aux-Trembles district.

“Believe it or not, he had traveled almost 20 kilometers,” said his owner, Erin Prosk. “It appeared at the Suncor Energy Refinery on the eastern end of the island.”
The dog got lost in St-Michel and the route east is not direct.
“It was a huge journey over highways and dangerous roads, and a group of workers had followed her through the refinery,” Prosk said. “I couldn’t believe it when we got the call yesterday.”
Max was abandoned three years ago when he was 7 years old, and Prosk adopted him from the Berger Blanc animal shelter in 2021.
He was spotted in Anjou and finally located on Friday. Prosk said she received valuable help from Ge Cherche Charly, an organization that helps dog owners find their lost pets.
“It really was like a holiday miracle, and not just for me, but for so many people who were looking for it; He is home and safe,” Prosk testified. “It's a miracle.”
Even though the owner considers it her Christmas present, she will still buy Max a collar with a GPS tracker.
