Louis Tomlinson’s fans were forced to leave his concert at Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado after a hailstorm the size of golf balls pelted them.
The 31-year-old One Direction star was due to perform outdoors on Wednesday night but the show was canceled because up to 100 people needed medical attention with injuries caused by the inclement weather.
According to West Metro Fire RescueSeven people were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and another 80 to 90 participants were treated at the scene.
Some fans took to Twitter to claim they suffered broken fingers and hands from the hail, while footage from the scene showed others being treated by doctors.
Shocking images also showed the giant hailstones littering the open-air theater, while Louis tweeted that he was “devastated” that the show had been cancelled.

One fan tweeted, “Tonight was the scariest night of my life.” Red Rocks started throwing hail at people, and my sister and I luckily found shelter under a sign.
‘I’m bleeding and have big bumps on my head from the hail.’ I hope everyone got out safely.’
Another fan replied, “I’m so sorry.” We just left the same show. “I broke my hand from the hail.”
One concert-goer tweeted a picture of a large lump of hail in her hand, while another shared video of hail and flooding pouring down a staircase at the venue, writing it was “straight out of a horror movie”.
Another wrote: “Golf ball sized hail.” Turns out it hurts. Pretty much. Sorry your first show at Red Rocks was ruined @Louis_Tomlinson.’
Louis’ show had already been delayed when the heavy hail began, and although he had given the all-clear at 8:35 p.m., the show was delayed again just before 9:15 p.m.
Finally, at 10:25 p.m., the venue tweeted, “Tonight’s show has officially been rescheduled.” Please be safe exiting the amphitheater – we will have more information available for ticket holders shortly.”
One concert-goer told local Fox affiliate KDVR that she and her friends took refuge in a toilet stall for over an hour before the show was eventually called off, while another said she believed her finger had been broken by the hail.

“Quite literally the scariest thing I’ve ever seen,” said one.
“Should have canceled on the first delay.” Absolutely ridiculous. “Louis must be angry,” wrote another.
Another wrote: “The scariest hailstorm I’ve ever experienced. This show should have been canceled an hour ago.”
The Louis team later released a statement on their official Twitter, which read, ‘Unfortunately tonight’s show at the Red Rocks has been rescheduled due to current weather events in the area.’ All ticket holders will be updated in due course.’
The singer then wrote on Twitter: “I’m devastated by tonight’s show, I hope everyone is fine, I’ll be back!”
