Louise Thompson is ashamed of her mother because neither she nor her young son Leo wear helmets on a ‘dangerous’ bike ride where she cycles one-handed
Louise Thompson was mum-shamed over a video she posted to Instagram.
In the clip, neither the Made In Chelsea star, 33, nor her baby son Leo, 21 months, were wearing helmets while on a “dangerous” bike ride that saw her pedal one-handed.
With her young son strapped to the front of her bike, Louise was filmed by her fiancé Ryan Libbey, 33, happily pedaling down a country lane, weaving from side to side.
By encouraging her son to wave at Ryan by doing it herself, Louise was left with only one hand on the wheel while riding the bike.
The mother-of-one did the same thing again a short time later when she patted Leo’s head, causing her to swerve into the grass strip and laugh as she regained control.

helmets? However, some of her 1.4million followers took issue with the fact that neither Louise nor her young son wore helmets
Louise wrote alongside the video, “What are you grateful for today?” Me: THAT. First time riding a bike with Leo and his face amazes me.
“I don’t know why, but the combination of spiky hair and the Cheshire Cat grin gives me big Sherman of American Pie vibes.”
However, some of her 1.4million followers took issue with the fact that neither Louise nor her young son wore helmets.
A children’s health worker commented: “Please wear helmets, if not yourself please put one on Leo. As a pediatric HCA I have seen the damage not wearing a helmet can do.”
Louise replied: “Oh god yes!! We literally looped a tiny path to try it out in less than a minute, with no cars or obstacles, but most of all I should know that anything is possible (try as much as I can, not my whole to live life in utter exhaustion). anxiety/paranoia).
“I don’t have a bike at home in London as it was stolen but I will order one for Leo to use on his little balance bike.” ❤️.’
But many weren’t satisfied with her explanation, with one person adding: “It doesn’t matter that it’s a short drive.” The child should be protected with a helmet. It only takes a second to fall off the bike and cause a head injury.
Oops! Louise’s explanation was not enough for many, who were shocked by the lack of security
“Sorry, but that’s simple, there are no excuses for her to ‘learn how to be a parent’ etc. It’s the absolute minimum requirement to adequately protect your child.”
Another wrote: “So incredibly dangerous!” “As a paramedic it makes me very sad that you as a public figure don’t wear one and also allow your child to wear one.”
“The straps too!!! Omg! Even Leo is NOT buckled up properly! Please be careful Louise, there is probably no greater trauma than the loss of a child. Why the hell is Ryan laughing?’ asked someone else.
