In her daily column, Isabelle Maréchal wanted to shed light on love scams by pointing out that dating apps are part of many singles’ lives these days and are behind the creation of many couples.

“It’s James Bond, these guys. They have incredible adventures,” said the columnist.
Since they proved they have the means to pay back, there’s no reason not to help the friend, right?
By the time the victims realize they have been scammed, it is often far too late. Not only do you have to recover from a broken heart, but you also have to recover from a drained bank account. Then comes the shame that prevents denunciation.
“What strikes me about these liars is that they never get caught,” explained Mario Dumont.
