Love Island producers called on new bombshell Danica Taylor to steal Gemma Owen’s Luca Bish for more drama and suspense.
Danica, 21, a dancer from Leicester, shocked her fellow islanders after she decided to couple with fishmonger Luca, 23, despite his closeness to Gemma, 19, who he vowed to remain involved.

A show insider said: “Danica is a brilliant bombshell, she’s beautiful, confident and willing to do anything to find love at the villa.
“The producers were dying for her to steal Luca from Gemma during Friday’s remarriage and she was absolutely ready for it.
“She could have chosen the singletons Davide or Remi, but she planned with the producers to develop a new and dramatic storyline and tested show favorites Gemma and Luca in their relationship.”
A spokesman for ITV added: “That’s not true.
“The opinions the islanders hold, the decisions they make and the relationships formed are entirely within the control of the islanders themselves.”

Danica couldn’t turn Luca’s head even after producers arranged for the couple to go on a romantic date away from the villa.
Luca admitted after returning from the beach that his heart was set on Michael Owen’s daughter Gemma, who is now back with Davide, 28.
Remi Lambert, 22, was kicked out of the show after being the only islander not chosen during the reboot.
Love Island viewers wanted more after Friday’s show ended on a cliffhanger, while Danica was asked to choose who she wanted to pair up with first, leaving Gemma to pick Davide as a last resort.
To the surprise of some fans, Gemma shared a bed with Davide – who she was previously a couple with – while Luca opted to sleep alone rather than in a bed with Danica.

After Danica’s big performance, Luca admitted in the beach hut: “I would say Danica is a very good looking girl but she’s not Gemma… what the hell is wrong with me?”
Danica described her type as “dark haired, light eyed and quite tan”, with many of the guys believing that her perfect match could be Italian Davide.
She also said she has never dated anyone her age or younger and prefers to be engaged to an older man.
After it was revealed there would be a reunion where the girls have their choice, Luca said: “I can’t wait to pour my heart out to Gemma.”
