Love Island’s Jessica Hayes has revealed that her beloved house cat has sadly passed away, leaving her “devastated”.
The 30-year-old, who won ITV2’s first series, took to Instagram on Monday and admitted she still hasn’t worked up the courage to tell her three-year-old son Presley.
Jessica shared a slew of sweet snaps and clips from happier times as the family lovingly cuddled gray Moggy, who she revealed was their “first cat”.
She penned an emotional post, which read, “Devastated, nothing beats the love a girl feels for her first cat.”
“You were there for everything. The most loving, beautiful girl.” I will miss you forever, my princess.

She then shared a sweet snap of her son on her Instagram Stories, saying she was afraid to tell him about the loss.
Writing: “I didn’t even have the heart to tell him, even though I was talking about heaven earlier.” [their cat] Maybe he had to go and his little heart broke and he cried and then it broke my heart even more.
“It’s so hard when you love her so much.”
“We loved the Lord so much, I don’t think I’ve ever cried so much.” She was special.
It has been a very difficult year for Jessica after she shared the heartbreaking news that she had suffered a miscarriage in April.
She shared the devastating news on Instagram alongside a photo of her stomach and a positive pregnancy test.
The TV personality used her Stories to thank her followers for their support since the news broke and to provide an update from the hospital.
She explained she came back to the ultrasound department for a check-up, but added that there she “would like to cry” as visits usually bring “happier times”.

Jess wrote, “Thank you for all of your beautiful messages, they mean the world.” I’m so glad to be speaking out and helping so many of you. It’s amazing how many actually…”
‘Onward and upward.’ Grateful for all I have.’
She added: “I came back yesterday and felt really bad. I’m fine now.” I’ll be back in the ultrasound department this morning to check everything is complete. Then I can be signed off and go home.
“I just want to cry in these places, even though one’s usually here for happier times.” It’s weird and really hard, isn’t it?
“I’m fine when I get my physical health back on track. It is probably normal for there to be a few wobbling movements at this point.
“Memories of being here with the boys.” Love you all, thanks for your kindness.’
She then shared a photo of her fiancé Zeb and their son Presley, praising them for their positivity.

Revealing her tragic message, Jessica wrote, “I’ve been thinking about posting that it feels really weird to open up and feel vulnerable but you know I’m always open and honest with all of you and it’s hard to act like I’m fine as it’s been a tough week.”
“But I’m hoping someone going through the same thing could help.” “I was pregnant and now I’m not.”
Jess continued, “I was talking about my first loss and to be honest I didn’t know I was going to be back here sooner this time but it still feels like shit.”
“It’s not really about losing a pregnancy, it’s about the plans you make, imagining what the baby or child could have been like, what your family is going to be like, and it’s all taken away from you in a second .”
