Love Island’s Remi Lambert has revealed his mum took her own life while struggling with mental health issues, as he explained why he takes “bullying” so seriously in a now-deleted Instagram Story.
Allegations that Jacques O’Neill and Luca Bish “bullied” him during his time at the villa come just hours after he accused his fellow contestants of targeting him in a Tuesday post on the social media platform to have.
The 22-year-old’s strong words for Luca and Jacques, both 23, came after the pair attended an Instagram Live where they mocked Draw’s rap skills.

He shared a fan’s sympathetic tweet with the message: “Didn’t mean to bring this up but mental health is serious.”
The supporter had written: “Just found out that Remi from Love Island lost his mother to suicide as she was struggling with her mental health.
“It’s so sad that he was bullied in and out of the villa. We need to do better and hold the bullies accountable. #loveisland.’
Concerned fans soon tweeted that they were “concerned” for the model, as he ended his post with a “suicidal tone.”

They wrote: “Remi’s mother committed suicide due to her mental health. Would you like the same to happen to Remi?”
“The last paragraph in Remi’s statement really worries me about the guy, especially after knowing his mother committed suicide and was dealing with mental health issues. Someone please check him out. #loveisland.’

Remi previously shared a photo with his late mother and brother Jordan along with the caption “03/08/2018❤️❤️❤️”.
Web has reached out to representatives from Love Island, Jacques and Luca for comment.
The Manchester native entered the villa like a bomb on day 9 and was dropped off just three days later when he didn’t survive the reconnection.

In a recent video, Jacques read comments from fans and thought he saw one from Remi, but it was actually from a fake account.
Jacques said: “Remi just commented: ‘What do you guys say about me and my rapping?’ I said it’s really very good, you should go pro.
Luca asked: “Did Remi comment? I can’t see the comments.’
Jacques said he was and then repeated the knocking comment in what appeared to be a sarcastic tone.
Luca then said: ‘Pro? A pro rapper? He didn’t… what will he do? Working at Harrods next year?’ which made Jacques laugh.
Remi shared the video on his Instagram and wrote a lengthy post accusing both Luca and Jacques of bullying him while he was at the villa and saying they should have been kicked out for their behavior.
He said: “@LoveIsland I never attended their live so I didn’t actually comment on anything. A fake account called remilamb0 did it. I don’t know why these guys have such a problem with me, they clearly have some serious problems to solve.
“Everyone said I lied about how I was treated at that villa, but this is an example of what went on while I was there. I don’t know why they weren’t kicked out for their behavior to be honest. This is not banter, these are clear signs of bullying.

“I wish everyone could see all the crap I’ve been through. There are 24 hours in a day and you only see about 3-5 10 second clips of me throughout the day so you could never tell what really happened.
“Jacques said bad things about my looks and the way I talked, while Luca encouraged me to do it. After about 3 strikes from Jacques, I told him that I will no longer speak to him in the villa.
“He later tried to apologize to me, but about 10 minutes after he started making snide comments again. I’ve tried to avoid this guy multiple times but he always ends up starting over. I don’t know when it will stop.
“The worst person to represent mental health and ADHD campaigns. He’s still out here taunting not only me but other islanders as well.

“You’d think with a platform this big, they would use it to promote peace, but they use it to troll and they love the attention. Immature.
“These guys are not role models or good people. They didn’t once think about my sanity. If I wasn’t so strong-willed, I could have done something stupid to myself by now, but she doesn’t care at all. I want justice.’
Remi received support from Tasha Ghouri, another Love Islander, who liked his post and now seems to have unfollowed Jacques on Instagram.
The draw comes after he claimed his time on the show was “ruined” following an unaired argument with Jacques.
The model reflected on his brief stint at the villa on the YouTube series Reality with Will Njobvu, admitting that he and Jacques clashed on several occasions, but the scenes were never aired.
As reported by The Mirror, Remi said: “There was a lot of stuff that didn’t air – a lot of stuff that happened.

“So basically me and Jacques had quite a lot of arguments and it just wrecked my experience. It ruined it for me.
“People said, ‘It’s because he has a rugby personality’ – but you can’t treat people like that.”
When pressed by dumped islander Afia Tonkmore about the reason for the clashes, Remi added: “He was just trying to hit on me.”
He also claimed that Jacques repeatedly mimicked the voice, saying phrases like, “My name is Remi. I’m tough and I’m from Manny.’
“It was so upsetting but I was the only one standing up for myself because he was always doing this to people and I would just pin it on him and be like, ‘Shut up!'” Remi added.
“But yeah, we just got into a lot of fights and stuff.”
