Luca Barbareschi unleashes turmoil in the LGBT community. The actor and former MP attacked homosexuals while moderating a cultural event in Sutri: “The paradox today is that the problem is the gay mafia. Not to be homosexual, but the mafia of homosexuals, of lesbians”. The city in Viterbo province is headed by Mayor Vittorio Sgarbi, who also attended Barbareschi’s speech.
The former honorary member’s speech prompted Lazio Pride’s reaction: “Barbareschi’s words are unacceptable. In 2018, the Pride of Ostia, organized by Lazio Pride in partnership with the Pride of Naples, was dedicated to the victims of the mafia. The LGBT community is a victim of organized crime, which exploits and represses the plight of victims of homophobia. Barbareschi apologizes. Lazio Pride is used in the fight against the mafia and – underlining the note – we will continue this on June 25th and July 9th at Lazio Pride in Albano Laziale and Viterbo”.
