Luciano Szafir discharged from Campinas hospital after hospitalization for intestinal obstruction

He was admitted to the medical unit on Friday (17th) after feeling unwell and doctors decided to keep him under observation.

Szafir recently left the Copa D’Or Hospital in Copacabana, in Rio de Janeiro’s South Zone, where he was hospitalized for 28 days after undergoing surgery on May 16 to remove a colostomy bag.

dr André Brandalise, who was responsible for accompanying Szafir during the hospitalization, explained in a note from the moderator’s advisor that he showed clinical improvement and accepted the diet offered for intestinal subocclusion.

The actor began using the colostomy bag after a loop of intestine was punctured during treatment for a pulmonary embolism caused by reinfection with Covid19.

He developed spontaneous abdominal hemorrhage, which was due to complications of anticoagulant therapy used in patients with Covid, causing a puncture of the intestinal loop.

The purpose of the operation was to remove this sling and clean the entire abdomen. Szafir spent a month in hospital in June 2021 due to Covid19.

Luciano Szafir has been infected with Covid19 three times, most recently in January this year.
