Lucien Leon Laviscount, known for playing Emily’s love interest Alfie on the hit TV series Emily in Paris with Lily Collins, could reportedly replace Daniel Craig in the James Bond franchise.
While coming onto the show in Season 2 as Emily Cooper’s boyfriend, Laviscount quickly became a fan-favorite character. The actor also starred in Season 3 of Emily in Paris, which premiered recently and is one of the hottest shows streaming online right now.
According to the Chron, the 30-year-old British actor is said to be the perfect age to star in the hit 007 franchise. Previously, producer Barbara Broccoli said she would like the next James Bond actor to play the British secret agent for the next 15 years.
Most recently, Daniel Craig played the iconic character in the 2021 film No Time To Die. He has appeared in five films in the James Bond series, beginning with Casino Royale in 2006.
According to the report, the only hurdle for Laviscount’s casting may be his appearance on the reality show Celebrity Big Brother in 2011, where he placed fifth.
“Lucien ticks all the boxes” to be the next James Bond
“Lucien ticks all the boxes. He is a super talented actor, extremely handsome and has gained many new fans in the last 18 months since joining Emily in Paris. Bond bosses are already saying how you can see him in the 007 tuxedo, how dapper and fit for the role he’ll look,” a source told the site.
“But there’s a sticking point, and that’s Big Brother. Lucien appeared on the show at a time when his acting career wasn’t as high profile as it is today, but he was hugely popular then and now has a fan base that spans generations. This is a dream come true for Barbara who is very taken with him,” the source added.
In addition to Emily in Paris, Lucien Leon Laviscount was also part of The Bye Bye Man (2017) and Trust (2021).
